"They know about August. They know where she is," Penelope said, reading the screen. "I suppose that is not a surprise. That is the only reason why they would be dropping the rest of their research and investing all of their time into this Hokkaido mission. They want August back." 

"But if they have known all this time where she was, why didn't they just go in and get her?" Zagan asked. 

"Timing is everything," Penelope said. "They have been waiting for the right opportunity. And somehow her mother plays into that." 

"So they have her mother?"
