Chapter 224: Something Else

"He's not answering." Graeme hung up the phone on his desk for the final time and sunk into his chair. 

"Are we not going over there?" David asked, hands poised on the arms of his own chair like he was preparing to leave. 

Graeme folded his hands in front of his mouth and shook his head. "I trust my son, David. The Goddess has led them well so far."

"But doesn't it make sense that the Goddess is the purpose for Bells' gift, too? What if it is meant to guide rather than just… report?" 

"What do you mean?" Sam asked.

"Making a decision to not tell Theo comes from assuming that Bells' vision is reporting events that will happen anyway, but why would she have a gift like that? She's lycan. She has a wolf. Why does she have such an incredible extra ability like that if not to help guide us right now?"
