Raymond looked at both of them, contemplating on what to do, "Take her out of here..." He said looking at Yvonne apologizingly, Susan smirked on hearing him say that.
Susan turned to Raymond in confusion to see him pointing in her direction as she noticed the securities were coming toward her, "Ray... Get your hands off me." She yelled at the securities.
Raymond gave a sign to the securities to leave her, Susan ran to him and gripped his shirt. "You either walk out yourself or you will be forcefully dragged out." He said in a low voice.
She looked at him in disbelief, "You won't do that to me, no... You won't."
"Take her out of here."
"Don't you dare touch me." She warned the securities as they got behind her and looked at Yvonne with hatred in her eyes, "Good job, Yvonne. You would regret what you did today. I promise you." She left the office.
Raymond turned to Yvonne and sighed, "I had to do that." He moved closer.
Yvonne moved back, "Don't come any closer." Yvonne moved back.
Raymond gave Clara a look, telling her to leave, "I will take my leave, Sir." She ran out.
"How could you throw her out like that?"
"She made me choose between you and her, and I chose who I want." He said with a raised voice.
"She's your wife to be, Mond and your wedding is some weeks away from now. I should have let me leave when I said so."
He pulled at his hair in frustration, "Don't you get it, stop thinking about yourself alone. It's you I'm in love with and not her."
"This love or anything you wish to call it, can't work out. We aren't destined for each other."
"We could fight everything to be together." He looked at her, hopefully.
She looked into his eyes, sadly, "I can't fight, I don't have the strength to fight." Removing her hand from his. "I'm sorry."
"Tell me you don't feel the same way I feel, that you don't need me as I need you and I'll let you be."
"I don't. I'm only here because I wanted to take revenge on you for what you did to me 5 years ago."
He couldn't tell if she was saying the truth, she had an expressionless face on, "Who had hurt who the most 5 years ago? I told you what I was going through back then and needed your support, what did you do? You left me to fight all on my own."
"Excuse me..." She walked around him to the door.
"Why do you keep running instead of fighting for what you want?" He asked as she turned the doorknob.
"Fighting only leads to more problems, running is the best decision, Mond." She rests her head on the door.
Suddenly, he was right behind her and wrapped his hands around her, "Can I get one last kiss, please?" She turned and kissed him.
They stopped to breathe, "I would fight for you till my last breath, Kitten. It's a promise." He released her from the hug.
"Can't you fight for me this time?" Staring into her eyes.
"I'm sorry, I can't." She looked away.
He moved away and turned his back to her, "Leave." He said in a cold voice.
"Mond, I..." She sobbed.
"Leave before I change my mind." She ran out of the office, straight to the elevator, She couldn't go back to her office so she went home.
She took a cab to her house, she thought of going to Ria's house and remembered, she would have gone to work.
She paid the cabman and entered the gate, she went around in search of the house key but couldn't find it. She tried to open the door and was able to.
"Who would be home by this time? I locked the door before I left in the morning." She thought.
She entered, "Who's there?" She heard Mary's voice from the kitchen.
She was surprised to meet her mom at home, "What are you doing at home? Is everything okay with the eatery?" Mary came out of the kitchen.
"I have people working for me, remember?"
"Mom, it hurts." She ran to Mary and hugged her, sobbing.
"What is wrong, baby? Another meltdown?" She patted her back to calm her down, after she became calm, Mary helped her to a sofa to sit and rested Yvonne's head on her lap.
"Talk to me, tell me all about it." Mary cooed.
Yvonne opened up, she told her what happened on the night of the party, the date she had with Justin, and the injury, she got from it.
"Mercy had called Raymond for help and we went to his house along with Mercy."
Mary sighed, "Something happened at his house, right?" She shook her head negatively, "But I'm not ready to be a grandmom yet."
Yvonne laughed, "Nothing happened, We kissed and slept off. I thought everything was okay and completely forgot about his and Susan's marriage... Mom, I wanted to live in the moment, to be happy and loved..."
"And it was lived short. It ended too soon for you." Mary said, Yvonne sat up on the sofa, nodding. "It happens. Why didn't you tell me earlier about it?"
"I don't want to disturb you, Mom. The eatery..."
Mary held her hand, "Nothing is as important to me as my babies. Whenever something is disturbing you, you should come straight to me."
"Okay, Mom." She hugged her Mom.
"Are you feeling better now?" She patted her hair and adjust the ones blocking her eyes.
She nodded, "He asked me to stop running but stay to fight for our love but I don't know how to, I don't have the strength to fight. Yeah, I love him, I do but..."
"You should have fought for him 5 years ago when you had the chance but it wasn't also your fault. Your dad's death weakened me and I couldn't support you, I'm sorry, baby."
"I'm not angry at you in any way, anyone in your shoes would have understood how you felt."
"You have to gather up your strength and fight, he needs you as you need him and can't fight alone without you beside him."
She looked at Mary confused, "How would I do that? Susan came to the office today and caught us in a compromised position." She told her what happened at the office.
"Who does he want? You or her?" Mary raised her eyebrows at her.
"He wants me but Mom, he's getting married to Susan and their wedding is 2 weeks away from now."
"Baby, anything can happen within that time as long as you are determined to fight." Mary smiled at her, stood up, and left, leaving Yvonne confused and disturbed. "Should I serve your food?" Mary asked from the kitchen.
"No. I'm going to my room to rest my head."
"Okay."
She went straight to her room, bath and lay flat on the bed facing the ceiling in thoughts, "Can't you fight for me this time?" His question kept resounding in her head, she sighed.
She heard a knock and turned to the door, "Mom, please, I said I want to rest my head." The person knocked harder, I'm coming."
"Mom, I said... What are you doing here?" She asked.
He smiled, "You don't want me here?"
"You..." Suddenly, she heard some form of noise coming from downstairs, she rushed down with him following her from behind.
"Huh?" She gasped on seeing the person.
