Chapter 25: Chapter 24 (Ya'imenya)

It was morning, Lux and Ciaran were in each other's arms. The bed was shaking which made Lux and Ciaran wake up. Delia, still in her pyjamas, was jumping on their bed to get them to wake up.

"You both have only been together for like 4 months, yet you both are sleeping on the same bed already?" Delia holded her arms.

"I'm sorry for stealing your brother then. His love is so big that I even needed some." Lux chuckled.

Ciaran qwas laughing at Lux's horrible joke, while Delia was staring blankly at Lux.

"Eww, take all of it. I don't need him." Delia hopped off the bed. "By the way Lux, your soon to be father and mother in law are waiting for you and your soon to be husband in the dining room, wanting to have breakfast with you both."

Delia left the room, silence filled the room.

"The way she explained you and the king queen makes me red." Lux said.

"You are red," Ciaran replied. "If they want to meet you, that means you are very important." Ciaran helped Lux take off his shirt.

Lux lightly pushed Ciaran away, "You have to change too!"

Ciaran giggled, he went to his wardrobe to find some nice looking clothes. Ciaran actually knows what was happening today, he just wanted to surprise Lux.

After both of them had finished changing, they went downstairs to greet the king and queen.

Ciaran sat on his chair when he had arrived, while Lux was bowing to the royals. "Good morning, your highnesses." He said with a firm voice.

"Good morning Lux. Please sit." The queen replied politely.

Lux walked over to Ciaran and sat next to him. "Why am I here actually?" Lux whispered to Ciaran, but not making it obvious.

"I have you here today, to talk about the ballroom dance." The king started. "It has started its preparation, and will probably be done by next week. The ball will start opening its gates at 6pm sharp, and I want you all to have a partner."

"Ciaran," the queen said. "You must find your partner that day, and that partner will be your queen."

Ciaran spatted out his water, "QUEEN?! I'm only-"

"Only what, big bro?" Delia had a smirk.

"21..." Ciaran mumbled.

The queen nodded. In the kingdom of Pemmayg, there was a rule for royals that when they had turned the age 21, they would have a ball, but not the normal ball that they would throw, a ball that the prince or princess have their coming of age ceremony and find their forever partner.

They would only be able to have 1 partner for their entire life, this rule also includes the citizens of Pemmayg.

"Mother," Ciaran said.

The queen looked at him.

"What do I do if I already have a lover?" He asked, a bit scared of the answer.

"" the queen said.

"Wheta a'fi i'tes tak nga kea?" Ciaran asked another, hoping for a short reply and not a lecture from his parents.

"I'te a'si hane." The queen smiled back at Ciaran and started eating her breakfast.

<It is fine."

The others started eating too, but Ciaran, Delia and Lus were worried if the majesty would reject Lux.

After breakfast, Ciaran went and talked to his parents while Delia walked to the library.

"I'm worried," Delia said.

"Same, if I get rejected then it's over for me." Lux said.

"But my parents said it was fine if Ciaran want ya'imenya with a male," she answered calmly.

"But what if they don't accept me because I'm an outsider?" he answered worriedly.

"Nah, I don't think so, you have shown a good attitude towards them. And you never annoyed them or anything, it's going to be fine." Delia comforted Lux.

"Alright," Lux said as he sat down and opened a book. He was still learning the language and trying to find out why his eyes were yellow and why The blade was still in his head.

"Wheta do maku kit'uh Ciaran si igno rugeh nu?" Lux said to Delia with horrible pronunciation. But luckily, she could under Lux and answer

"Ke si bapoa pun'le tua mak fiargen abtua ku." She answered.

"Erm..." Lux mumbled beneath his breath.

"He is probably explaining to my family about you." Delia sighed.

"But wouldn't that mean I have to marry him? That's a bit too fast, ain't it?" Lux replied with a small tremble.

"Nah, you will get like 2 to 3 years before you both will ya'imenya." Delia smiled with enthusiasm.

"To be honest, what do you mean by you all seal the bond'?"

"Well, example. You and Ciaran have made a special bond that has shared feelings, interests and experiences. When we mean by seal the bond, you will marry him,"

Lux stayed silent, it was interesting to call it like that.

"But," Delia continued. "You could only have 1 partner to ya'imenya in your entire life. So, choose the right one."

Lux asked why people could only have 1 ya'imenya in their entire lives.

"We believe that the bond you had with the person you sealed with is very special, and that the love you felt in it could never be repeated again." Delia replied and continued back reading.

Lux didn't think much about it and went on to read his book, Ciaran came in a few minutes later, he talked about the preparations and letters that were sent to other kingdoms for the ceremomy.

"We just sent out the letters to the kingdoms that we are friends with, the royal families from those kingdoms will be coming to the ball!" Ciaran said with excitement. "Oh yea, mother said is very happy for the next queen of Pemmayg." Ciaran held Lux's hand.

Delia wasn't surprised at all, she knew it was bound to happen but she was still jumping up and down with excitement for Lux to ya'imenya with Ciaran and be the next leader of Pemmayg.
