Chapter 191: Memories are all I have

Kevin's question wasn't unexpected, but it still hurt Cassandra to the core. It took her some time to compose herself and get a grip on her feelings. Having dealt with a similar situation some days back, she knew what was going on in Kevin's mind, or so she thought.

After overcoming the initial shock, Cassandra backed away from Kevin and turned on her holo-tab. With a few quick taps, she brought up Kevin's medical record and opened his case history. Scrolling down the pages she found what she was looking for and turned to face Kevin again.

"I understand that you must have a lot of questions. I will do my best to answer them," Cassandra said, trying hard to maintain her composure. "My name is Dr. Cassandra. I am the R&D supervisor at this research facility. You are currently in Subcity. But there's nothing to worry about. No one is going to hurt you."
