Chapter 158: Caught

Matteo walked into the hospital room where his sister Beatrix was supposed to be resting after her surgery. 

He expected to find her alone, sleeping peacefully in her bed. Instead, he saw that she was sharing the bed with someone.

Matteo furrowed his brows. Could it be Damien? His first instinct was to feel a pang of jealousy. 

He had always been protective of his sister and didn't like the idea of anyone else being so close to her. 

But as he looked closer, he could see that the person was holding Beatrix's hand and gently stroking her hair. 

It was clear that he was just there to support her and keep her company while she recovered.

Yeah he had to accept that his sister would very soon belong to him. 

Beatrix was sleeping soundly, her breathing slow and steady. Her face was peaceful, without any signs of pain or discomfort.
