"Then who exactly is a member of the squad? An Adamas like me or are they ordinary adventurers?" I asked.

You could say the information regarding the First Line is something I just heard. No one had told me about it before, not even Eve.

"All of them. Anyone who wants to protect the kingdom from demons, then they are allowed to join the group," replied Beatrice.

I was silent for a while. The opportunity is indeed worth trying, especially when it comes to level and ability. However, I think the First Line's place is south of White Castle. I never thought about going there.

"Why don't you join them?" I asked.

The woman laughed loudly at my words, "I'm just protecting myself and the business I'm doing. I don't have time to think about other people's safety."

"But if those demons attack, won't you end up fighting them anyway?" I asked.
