Chapter 22: [Flowers in Eastern Warrior]

***

The Izunaya Empire, another place that Eve had said. The architecture that looks so different compared to Camelot, starts from the conical roof, red wall paint, red-flowered trees growing in the yard, and the unique clothes worn by local residents.

Several people wore flashy-looking clothes; none wore iron armor like the people in Camelot.

My hands held on to the window sill, looking out the window at a view of a row of houses with almost the same structure. I saw several people, from men, women, to children mingling with each other.

What is clear is the cursor they have overhead. That morning, I saw two cursors that were different from each other, the green and orange cursors. The woman who was treating me earlier had a green cursor.

"Are you enjoying our city view?"

The door opened clearly, revealing a man who arrived in a unique outfit just like I meant. He has seen a sword mounted on the right side of his body; the object's size is much smaller and slender than the swords I've seen before.

"A little bit different, but I quite enjoy it," I said.

The man smiled as he walked closer. His face and skin looked tanned yellow, typical of Asian people. The pupils of his eyes are brown with black hair.

His posture is equal to mine; maybe even under his uniform, there might be muscles he has trained hard.

What makes the most difference is his orange cursor. This is the first time I've met someone with an orange cursor. Moreover, he was talking to me this morning.

"An Adamas," said the man, starting to lower his smile while accompanied by a cold stare.

"You know about Adamas?" I asked; the man cleared his throat softly.

"Because I'm the same as you."

I widened my eyes, looking up and down. If he's a swordsman, especially in this country, then he's probably a Samurai or a Hwarang. The man beside me noticed that I was looking at him suspiciously.

"I'm different from your Templars. We don't have any clashes between classes at all," the man replied, glaring at me.

"How did you know about that?"

"The news of them has spread all over the world. There is not a single person who doesn't know about their cruelty," the man replied, explaining as if he were making fun of the Templars.

"Even though they tried to dismiss the issue, the news already in the mouths of the people could not be stopped," he continued.

The man immediately turned his body towards the window, looking at the same landscape as me. Somehow I feel a really beautiful and cool peace in this place, their hospitality and the cleanliness of the place amazed me.

One of the male servants came over and whispered something into the ear of the man near me. I don't know what they're talking about, but it seems an order pertains to me in this place.

It was evident from the man's gaze, now looking at me while squinting. His head nodded several times as if he understood, and his right hand immediately ordered the male servant to leave.

"My name is Zhao Kun. I'm a Samurai," said a man named Zhao Kun, who had a Samurai class.

"I am Arthur Mason, a Paladin," I replied.

Zhao smiled while chuckling occasionally. He was still near me with his arms folded in front of his chest.

"Worst record for the Templars, letting one baby Paladin escape."

"Lady Ichihara ordered me to bring you to face her," continued Zhao. The man's right hand immediately gripped the sword's hilt beside him.

I nodded; just as I was about to leave, Zhao stopped me with his left hand.

"A knight does not leave his weapon alone. Bring your spear," Zhao ordered.

The man pointed at my spear, which was propped against the room wall without turning it back into a stick form. I nodded and quickly took it as Zhao instructed.

I pressed the circle button on the spear, and when it changed shape into the wand I usually used it. There was applause; it seemed that Zhao was making fun of me.

"Impressive. Are you working part-time as a magician?" Zhao asked. I paused as I turned around, looking at him intently.

"Don't be like that. I'm just kidding. Come, let's go to the Hall."

Zhao opened the wooden door from the bedroom and let me walk first. The hallway that connects one room to another looks luxurious, filled with red and yellow ornaments.

The whole way, the two of us didn't really talk at all. Zhao continued to walk steadily, in contrast to me, who was busy understanding why the motifs of the rooms or hallways in this building were so complicated?

After a while, Zhao finally stopped walking in front of a two-meter wooden door. For some reason, I felt like I was looking at the beauty of a typical eastern palace.

"Watch your attitude. Make her happy, then your life might be saved," Zhao said, whispering into my left ear.

"Weren't you guys coming to save me?" I asked, confused.

"Every action has a price. You'll understand later," Zhao replied.

The door in front of us finally opened wide, revealing many people lined up neatly. Two rows of people with the same orange cursor as Zhao.

Their gazes were fixed on me. I didn't understand the expressions they were showing, either shocked or scared. However, it differed from the expression of the woman sitting on a chair. I saw her expression was almost the same as the one Zhao showed me, so cold and arrogant.

"Come here," the woman pleaded, holding her hand for me to come closer.

I took a step, and my eyes occasionally glanced at the people standing neatly on the right and left. Not only that, the Hall is wider than my home in the real world, and the five large pillars confirm this place's strong impression.

"Do you admire this place?" asked the woman. I assumed it was a woman named Ichihara.

"I've never been to the imperial palace before," I replied.

Hearing my words made everyone in the place laugh loudly, some of them questioning the stupidity I said. However, the only person who didn't laugh was Ichihara herself.

"Sir. You're not in The Great Shrine. It's far from here." Ichihara explained something that really surprised me. If this place isn't a palace, then what are they called?

"Alright, you people laugh at me for my ignorance. I can accept that," I said. Indeed feeling humiliated by other people was so painful for me. I don't know how often I had suffered physical or verbal suffering.

Ichihara seemed to be smiling when I said that, not trying to cheer her up, but I don't like them laughing at something that isn't funny. It felt so humbling to me.

"As expected, the people from Camelot are really good at talking," Ichihara explained.

The people in the room laughed again; I don't know what was funny about Ichihara's words which I took as a compliment. After that, I was silent, turning my eyes away from Ichihara's gaze or the people who saw me to demean me.

"Why did you bring me here, Lady Ichihara?" I asked flatly.

"I would like to welcome you to my beloved residence," replied Ichihara, rising from her seat and stepping down the steps to come before me.

"Welcome to Izunaya Empire, and welcome to The Eastern Warrior."

Now, that woman's face is right in front of me. She looks beautiful, typical of East Asia, with brown-black hair. What's amazing is that she's almost the same height as me and carries a sword on her left side.

A purple headband is seen with a symbol in the form of a circular pattern shaped like a sun that looks made of iron and a mixture of gold. She wore long, black clothes with a vest-type armor to protect her upper body.

"We've saved you. Now we ask for a charge from you," explained Ichihara; her words surprised me.

"You're charging me for saving me?"
