Chapter 121: Chapter 118: Negotiation

The following day, as Philip predicted, John came again alone. Sophia asked him to eat breakfast with her first. She cooked stew venison and roasted fish. For the drink, Sophia made blueberry syrup. 

John smiled as two of the three were his favorite meals. He glanced at Sophia and then ate. John repeated it a few times until Sophia frowned. 

"What?"

  "What what?" John pretended not to know why Sophia asked. 

"Why did you stare at me, eat, then stare at me again?"

John laughed. "Because you are beautiful."

"Huh? In a male form?"

"I'm sure you are beautiful in any form, as you are my mate."

Sophia pouted, but finally, she giggled too. "Sweet talker."

"But you like it."

Sophia blushed and then poured the blueberry syrup. "Here, drink this. You may be thirsty after talking such nonsense."
