Some werewolves whistled, growled, and clapped to see how passionately Daniel kissed Latisha. When Daniel lifted his lips from Latisha's, her lips were swollen. He touched them with his thumb. 

"Wait until we are alone. Then, I will kiss you again and again."

Latisha blushed and hugged her mate, hiding her face in his chest. "Now you are mine. I imagined this countless times, but our marking ceremony was beautiful." She sobbed. "It's perfect."

"Didn't you regret that ours had been done in a rush? It's even Elder Ryan and Luna Imelda's ceremony." 

"No, it's an honor for me as they are the people I respect the most after Alpha King, Alpha Killian, and Miss Jasmine." Latisha stared at Daniel, though her eyes were blurry with tears. "Being surrounded by the people I love and admire is the second best gift."

"What is the best one?"

"You," Latisha said without a doubt. "Having you, my mate, beside me, it's the best gift."
