Chapter 26: WHO CALLED POLICE?
While everyone was thinking about the reason of incoming police, Mike became ecstatic. He wanted to jump due to his happiness. However he clamed his excitement and waited next juicy part of this drama. Next to Mike, Robert and Sam were quite worried about this situation. Both of them did not understand the reason of incoming police officers. 'Who called the police?' Sam and Robert thought at the same time. Because both of them knew Maria's involvement in the Eva's drug case. Both of them could not pinpoint their thoughts one place.
However both of their thoughts broke by Mike excitement. Seeing Mike's expression, both Robert and Sam were dumbfounded. They could not understand the reason of Mike's behaviour. Robert wanted to relax, but he somehow could not. He had a premonition that something was going to happen. What he did not know that his wild bunny would upside down the whole City F indirect way. Actually no one would expect that Maria would revenge on her enemies these way, except her friends.

After police officers along with special officers entered the hall, the commanding officer ordered to close every exit and to gather every guests in the same place along with stuff members. It did take 5 minutes to complete the task. Seeing the situation was serious, Grey and Martin Family members did not know how to react. Only Cindy and Jack were fully relax and even smiling which made them stood out from everyone like anomaly. Even Maria's friends had hard time to control their laughter.
Then Jack stepped forward and asked like gentleman. "Hi, officer. I'm Jack Martin and heir of Martin Group. Today is my wedding banquet. So can I ask the reason of your arrival? Also we're middle of the banquet."
"Hi, Mr Jack Martin. I'm Joseph Foley and the commanding officer of the recent serious case. I think you must hear about the drug case and human trafficking matter which gained a lot of attention last two days. We are here to arrest guilty parties here and also collect other case related evidence. Sorry to disturb your wedding banquet." Joseph Foley said with faint smile.
Hearing this, both Cindy and Jack were super excited inside. They were waiting for this moment. Although Jack's initial plan of kidnapping Maria cancelled, he was excited for this new situation against Maria. He could make new plan for Maria after she got freed her from case. Till then her reputation would be ruined and he, Jack would lay another trap for cold beauty Maria. Speaking of invited guests, they felt that they were slapped tightly by reality. Before they were not fully sure about the involvement of Grey and Martin Family, now they could relax their high beating heart.
"Yes, we heard about that sensational matter. But we did not know that it is also involved with human trafficking matter. We only heard about a female's sex video with using drug. We do not know anything else. Because we are so busy about our wedding banquet's preparation. We are law abiding citizens and are happy to cooperate with you. About this serious matter me and my wife do not feel offended." Jack said with a smile like noble gentleman.
"Thank you for your cooperation, Mr Jack Martin. Actually some high levels officers and people involved in this case, so we have to come here with informing you. Hope you do not mind. Can we proceed?" Joseph said with a smile, however his smile was quite mocking which Jack and Cindy did not notice. As for other officers, they never expected that they would meet these kind of hypocrite people in their life.
"Of course, Mr Foley you may proceed. Our family will give you full cooperation. Before that I have to say something to my elder sister and her friends to you, Mr Foley." Cindy suddenly chimed in and wanted to show her elegance. Also she also wanted to prove her high class background and to show Maria's lowly background.
"You can say that Mrs Martin. However as far I know, you don't have any biological sister instead have an adopted sister. Am I right?" Joseph said with puzzled expression.
"Yes, you are right officer. Although Maria June is an adopted daughter of Grey Family, she is treated like biological daughter of our family and I always treated her my elder biological sister. Even my family's other members will say same thing like me. That why I have to say this. Sister, don't worry. Our family will stand beside you. I know that you did not have any knowledge about those people whom you befriended with. You are always simple person. So you don't know about those people craftiness. I will plead your innocence in the court. Don't worry I will support you fully, even our family won't." Cindy said with emotional tone and almost cried, but stopped it with difficulty. Even a scheming person would melt to see her like this. What an actress!
Hearing Cindy's words Joseph and other officers were dumbfounded. They could not believe their ears, same went for guests. Only one peculiar person was here and that was Jack. He almost clapped his hands to see Cindy's acting for Maria. He assumed that everyone's impression would rise towards Cindy, even these officers. And they would get success in their plan. Unknown to them, their acting disgusted people even more, except their family members. They felt only anger towards Jack and Cindy.
"I did not understand your words, Mrs Cindy Martin. What was reason of your words? I think everyone want to hear your elaborate meaning." A police officer said with puzzled expression. If you looked closely, you would see his mocking and disgusted expression clearly.
"Officer, I wanted to say earlier that my elder sister is a simple person. She never attend any kind of parties or banquet. Thus she did not know how complicated human's heart can be. Because of this reason, she got trapped by those bad people. I know you officers come here for my elder sister video tape and also the drug matter which was connected with my sister. However I can guarantee that my sister ain't this kind of person. She did not come from well known background, so she can not connect with good people. Thus some ill minded people took advantages of my sister's innocence and trap her. You can rest assure that Maria's friends may involve in these criminal matter, but my sister did not involve. That's how her sex scandal got viral." Cindy said with soft and gentle tone like a loving and understanding sister. Those who did not know, would think that Cindy was good person and understanding sister. Despite being Maria's bad manners and attitudes.
Hearing Cindy's elaboration, everyone except Jack became speechless. Guests even started to speculated why did not Tony Grey make a place in a drama academy for his daughter. That place was the most suitable place for her. Her acting skills were otherworldly and her hypocrite like attitude even suppressed many well known actresses. Even police officers were trembling because of initial shock.
What kind of person Cindy was? How much a person could act? They felt disgusted. they even started to assume that Cindy was mentally ill. As for Jack, he applauded Cindy in his heart. He was proud of Cindy's action and even revealed his expression. This made guests more disgusted and they wanted to vomit blood by witnessing two idiots actions.
Speaking of two leading family's members, they felt worse than before. When Jack and Cindy's livestream started playing, they felt that everything which they tried to hide, became clear. Thus everything finished. Then old madam Grey created another embarrassing moment for them. Now this two idiots started to humiliate their family more. They felt a huge ball of anger, was brewing in their heart. However they could not express it.
On the other side, Mike let out a loud chuckle which startled both Sam and Robert. Then they heard one sentence from Mike's mouth 'what a bitch'. Actually Robert and Sam never thought that Mike's mouth would be poisonous. His action towards women was more straight-forward. This made both Robert and Sam more curious.
After hearing Cindy's speech, Joseph felt that he could not say against Cindy's words. Not because she was right, because her words more ridiculous than mad person. He felt that he should not talk to this ridiculous person. However he could not go on like this. Thus he opened his mouth.
"Ahem, ahem. Mrs Martin, you should not talk anymore. Today we come here for serious matter, not some pep-talk. Actually you should not blame any person before his/her actions proved guilty. Am I right, Mrs Martin?" Joseph said with faint anger.
Hearing Joseph's words, Jack and Cindy did not know what to say. This was expected for everyone. However Jack started his nonsense like Cindy again. He wanted to prove Maria guilty at any cost.
"What are you saying, Mr Foley? Ain't Maria guilty party here? Didn't you come here to arrest her for drug case? As far I know that Maria was reported by media reporters for using drugs and prostitution business. As for human trafficking, I had intuition from beginning that her those close friends were involved in these area. May be she is not simple as my wife say. Because my wife judge every person like she is, as gentle and good as she is." Jack said with serious tone.
This made the whole crowd speechless again. They could not believe their ears. They started to think that what kind of rubbish materials used for making Jack's brain. Maria and her friends rolled their eyes and secretly gloated for Jack and Cindy to give them so much opportunity, to create a hell for both of them. As for Jack's clarification, they ignored like rotten trash. However Joseph laughed a little loud (he could not control anymore) which gave shock the people.
"I think Mr and Mrs Martin have some grudges against Ms Maria June. Otherwise both of would not say something like this. Although both of you are tactful person with their words, your intentions are crystal clear to me. I did not get my position through power or money. Moreover both of you are still 2G coverage area still now. Otherwise both of you should be known by now who is guilty person. Also slandering is crime." Joseph said cold and sarcastic tone.
Hearing Joseph's words, both Jack and Cindy felt that something bad was going to happen. Actually it already happened. Thinking all of the situation still now, their hearts started to beat loudly. Because of Joseph's words, they could guess something that their plan for ruining Maria's innocence ended up with failure. 'Who was the substitute person? Who's video got viral? Why did Mr Foley's words are more sarcastic now?" Both of thought inside their heart.
Then Cindy said with difficulty, "What are you saying Mr Foley? A slander? When did we slander anyone? If slandering is crime, then we can sue you for that. What we said about Maria, is indeed true. You can check from citizens and XX University forum. If she is not my big sister, then I'll personally send her to police station. Because she is my elder sister, I know her simple character more than any one."
"Cindy is right, Mr Foley. Maria is not a good girl. It is my wife personality that she always support Maria no matter what she did. She always has a bad reputation and bad grades, you can check from these noble guests. You can cross check her background carefully, then you will know what kind lowly person she is. Also what is 2G connection? We don't understand, please elaborate for us." Jack said with anger and self-righteous tone. In the end, he did not forget to reveal mocking expression for Joseph Foley. Unknown to him, he let himself fall for deep pit.
As soon as Cindy and Jack completed their nonsense one by one, Ella and Mary started to laugh loudly. This made the scene more funny. Even guests could not believe that someone's got this kind of negative IQ. Thus they showed more disdain towards Jack and Cindy.
"Ha, ha, ha! Jack and Cindy, you both are so funny which I never imagine. I did not know that both of you did not have IQ in its space. How sad! I fought secretly against these negative IQ person. Oh my, my, my reputation almost ruined. As for Maria's reputation, everyone in City F knows better than both of you, except those thigh hugging people. Even police knew about Maria's intelligence. Only both of your foolish family did believe both your trash words." Mary said with sarcastic tone openly.
"Yo, Cindy. I cannot believe that you would say something like this. You love Maria and respect her. Can somebody give me some poison? I want to commit suicide before apocalypse. Did anybody check that today sun did not show up or not? Cindy, you always say that Maria is a bastard or slut. Even created a huge page for Maria to slander her with dirty water. Now you respect her. Somebody please strangle her. She even had sex with Jack, when Jack announced everyone that Maria was his girlfriend. Although Maria did not agree with Jack's proposal. Then Cindy send Maria a video which showed that both Jack and Cindy were doing sex with their own consent. Even you showed your smug expression in front of biochemistry department. Now you are talking about justice. Please give me a break. The word 'justice' do not suit your vicious mouth." Ella said coldly.
"We are the bad people. You and Jack are crazy. Do you have any idea about our identity? Do you even what's our family legacy? You only know Mia, Mary and Jason identity, not us. Even both of your dads begged my our family to cooperate with your business. Looks like Jack forgot about his own bad reputation? Also Cindy got her face paint with black colour because of her bad deeds. Should I say more? I think its not necessary anymore. Because everyone in here already witnessed your real face few minutes ago." Aiden said with mocking tone.
"What can this two fools say? Their IQ has already eaten by donkey. They can only pretend to be someone whom they are clearly not. Looks like apple does not fall far from its tree. It reminds me that money does not make you powerful. You have to make your own remark by your strength." Jason said with shaking head.
Joseph was stunned after hearing Maria's friends poison tongued words. He never thought that his two precious team members had several gems besides them. They were smart, intelligent and strong. These people could give his team more strength.
As for other people, they were enjoying show as usual. Because they became numb, witnessing one after one exposure. Now their looks were quite normal. Speaking of main character of this show, Maria did not even reveal her presence till now. On the other hand, she was smirking time to time and revealed her cunning look. this thing was only noticed by our invisible male lead who was eager to show his presence. However our female lead already made him invisible through her actions. Then he became excited and his affection towards our female grew more. What a lovely connection!
All of this drama short was coming to an end. Thus its time for real action which will give the readers more fun and the citizens of City F will get more topics to gossip. This also lead some people's life to an end. Wait for upcoming chapters.... ... ...
