After the guy had told his life story, a trust was established between him and the others. However, even with all that trust, the guy wasn't trusted enough to be told the few secrets that Artemis and the rest were hiding from the S.I.T. 

The guy wasn't someone very familiar to Artemis unlike Neon and Flidea who she personally knew of, which is why Artemis had decided to have a neutral and standard relation with him. After all, for all she she, he could be someone secretly set up by the S.I.T. Alissa had warned her enough about the suspiciousness of the S.I.T. As a result, she did not want to take any chances. Especially when those chances are involved with secrets that might expose some weakness of hers and the rest of her team.
