"Princess! News is spreading throughout the castle that you have called off your engagement to the king of the north. Is it true?" Gina asked with anxious eyes. Everyone feared what would happen to them now that Killian no longer had something to stop him from destroying the castle. "It could not be true. You two were doing so well-"

"It is true," Amelia replied as she read the paper a servant bought her about news from the town. Though she saw a creature around the men Killian killed, all of the bodies were found by chance last night and news of it was already sent around. "What a pain in the ass."

"Princess," Gina stared at Amelia in disbelief. "Do you wish to get us all killed? This isn't something you can call off and then sit around acting like everything is fine. Why did you call it off?"

"The court minister won't let me be present for the truce," said Amelia.
