Chapter 140: 3.18

Pacing the courtyard, my mind was in a flurry.

The ache in my chest was only growing deeper and deeper.

He promised me my Izzy, he said he could bring her back to me. 

What should I do? I needed to talk to Alex, I needed to figure it out with a rational mind. 

How attached was he to his current identity? Would he be even angrier with me now?

I was in his enemy's territory, getting cozy with the prime minister. 

Not to mention, to agree to have a child after what I had done was heavily hypocritical of me.

I'd refused pregnancy so adamantly to the point I killed a man.

Chills crept up my spine as I stopped to hold myself, nails digging deeply into my upper arms. 

Everything was going wrong again. 

I'm so weak. Too weak. 

"Luna," Theo waved his hand in front of my face.

I hadn't even realized that I'd stopped pacing, let alone that they'd joined me in the cobbled area of the courtyard.
