Chapter 124: 3.2

Without even getting a chance to see who had won me for the grand price of one hundred soul crystals, I was carted off to the foul-smelling stables and shoved into a wooden cart. 

In time, three more women joined me. Then the wheels began to roll along under us.

Unlike the sobbing girls huddling in despair, I leaned in the corner, getting comfortable as possible to sleep and let System work through strengthening this body. 

Currently, I was so weak and fragile. I'd have to rely heavily on Holly's potions to escape and I was unwilling to part with a single supply unless forced. They were now limited. 

I woke when the cart jerked to a stop. Outside the thin, wooden walls, were the calls of men in battle.

Narrowing my eyes, I tried to pierce through the wood to sense the souls around me as the sounds quietened.

The rear door of the enclosed cart was ripped off its hinges and tossed to the floor with a heavy thud.
