Chapter 43: Assassin I

Gathering up the contracts, I reviewed them and smiled as these guards made sure to import everything they heard and saw, even the make-out session between Amilia and Crowe. They even went as far as to describe how Crowe cupped the Princess's breast.

"Oh, good, now, as far as I can tell. Not even the guards saw who attacked who." 

The Adventures Guild stirred. Whispers about regard what Crowe did. And even I was curious. I knew Crowe attacked him, but why was there no evidence? Based on the reports from both guards and the Princess, none saw him wave his hand. 

One minute he was fine. The next, he was howling like a dog. 

While I didn't like the idea of exposure, there was a time and place for everything. And despite Crowe looking guilty as hell, there was no physical evidence.
