Chapter 38: Chapter 038
Getting up from the ground I dust myself off a little. And walk towards the door that Aki left through.
I grab a towel that hangs by the door and wipe up the sweat from my forehead. Feeling a lot more refreshed than this morning I head back upstairs.
I walk through the door to the common room to see Aki sitting down with a bottle of water. And then I look across from her to see Scarlett sitting down also with a bottle of water.
"Good morning Scarlett, where's Charles?" I asked
"Good morning Jake. Well he had to go set up a meeting with a customer. So he's going to be back by noon or so."
I nod my head in understanding and go grab a bottle of water. I open the cap and drink it all in one go.
"Wow you must have been thirsty with the busy morning you had. From cleaning to training with Aki. As long as you are feeling better." Scarlett said, and Aki nodded in agreement.
I smile wryly at their attempts at comforting me. I sit down in the couch between Aki and Scarlett, and relax a little.
Aki looked me in the eyes. "I'm glad you were able to complete your mission so quickly. It means that you can have Michael help you finding the man and women. It's extremely so helpful, Gabriel was the one who told me where my first two targets were, and that's how I was able to kill two in the time it took for you to kill one."
I look up at the sky. "Are you finally going to be useful and help me Michael?"
"Sure as hell not with that attitude. I also take offence to that, the amount of emotional support I give you is been over overwhelming."
I glare at the sky. "Emotional support? I just hear you laugh and laugh most of the time. In my books that's not super helpful." I added.
I didn't hear Michael say anything else. So I changed my attention back to earth. "So that means I can find the man and women? Without rushing into it, I will be able to finally take my time."
"Well technically yeah, but you still have to find them yourself and do most of the leg work." Aki said while looking at me.
I completely agreed with her, I didn't want to half ass the punishment for the man and women. I let out a little laugh thinking about punishing them.
Scarlett let out a grunt and I snap out of my own little world and look at her. She's looking at me with a glare and I start to worry about what I did wrong.
"You're not going to forget to include me this time right. You know how much I wanted to something like this." She said while continuing to glare.
I feel cold sweat going down my back. "D-don't worry Scarlett I'll make sure to involve you guys."
She stopped glaring at me up and started to smile. I let out a shiver scared that she could change her emotions so quickly.
Why are all the women I know scary…
Charles suddenly popped through the door and said good morning. Being thankful that Charles is here I quickly get up and run behind him.
He lets out a chuckle, understanding what happened from the way I'm acting. "Come on Scarlett please stop teasing Jake he doesn't know if you are joking or not."
Aki and Scarlett just started laughing together, and I let out a sigh. Why do I feel so exhausted…
We both sit down and have lunch that Charles brought with him. After eating we take about what to do next.
"So Jake who are you going after first? The man or the women?" Aki suddenly asked me.
I look at her confused wondering why she was asking. "To be honest I got revenge on the person who killed me. So I was wondering who you wanted to start with." She elaborated after seeing that look on my face.
I smile and look her in the eyes. "Hmmmm well that's a good question. To be honest I think I'm going to go after the women first."
Her eyes open a little wide. "Why her?"
I shrug my shoulders. "Because I feel like it I guess.
