Eva stood outside the castle in her clothes, arms folded idly watching as the maids carry her things into the car.
She sees Mona holding her broom, wand and spell book.
"I'll have that...." Eva said quickly and takes them from Mona's hands.
"Is that everything..." Eva asked looking inside the car at her bags.
Mona bowed.
"Yes your majesty"
Eva leaned in close to Mona, the only maid she could trust.
"Keep an eye on my mother....and if anything happens...don't hesitate to inform me"
Mona bows and nods.
Eva finally leaves, as she made to enter the limousine she hears the clanking of chains.
She turns. Several Fairies in shredded garments were bound in chains around their ankles and they were roughly pushed into the castle by two Witches.
Eva bit her lower lip as she stared at them. She pitied them badly but she knew she couldn't do anything.
She sighed and entered the car.
Eva looked out the window. The front yard of the school was filled with students.
Young Warriors academy was a gigantic school, so the front yard was able to accommodate about a thousand people though Eva wondered why they were gathered there.
The academy had a particular uniform for everyone.
White wrist length shirt, a red tie with black stripes and for the girls, a pleated skirt that matched the tie. The boys, pants.
Socks were strictly white and shoe was an inky black color.
Everyone was wearing the uniform except Eva, so as she passed through the front yard with two maids behind her holding her backs, she felt odd under their stares
Already everyone knew of the witch who was going to be attending their school so there weren't any surprised looks again. Just disgust and irritation.
When they got into the school, the hallway was a pin drop silent. They moved forward, only their steps echoing on the ground until they finally found the girls' dormitory.
It was a separate building and stood in between the main school and boys hostel.
Suddenly someone jumped down from no where and landed before Eva.
It was so sudden that Eva almost fell back, she narrowed her eyes to see...
Davis
He snorted as he looked at the maids who were already trembling once they recognized him.
"Hello ....princess" He said mockingly.
Eva wasn't sure of what do or say so she just kept quiet.
"I'll take the bags...you can leave now" Davis suddenly said.
The maids cautiously gave him the bags and once he held them, they scampered off.
It wasn't that they were just scared.
Davis was too handsome, so they were really blushing from being close to him.
Eva sort of gave Davis a friendly look when he offered to carry her bags.
When suddenly, Davis pushes the bags forward and she was forced to hold all of them.
She gives him and inquiring look.
"Once you're in the school building you're just like any of us...a student. I don't see why your maids had to the work for you"
Eva spluttered angrily.
"But the bags are heavy!!!"
Davis laughed.
"Heavy? I wonder what you'll think of our training today if you think some silly bags are heavy"
Eva suddenly drops them all on the floor and she brings out her wand.
"I'd rather you don't use that" He said quickly
"Why"
"No one is allowed to use their powers here except necessary and even if you're new..it applies to you. I won't hesitate to get you expelled if you go against that order"
He said and starts walking off.
Eva fumed as she looked at him
Davis turned and gave a ludicrous wink with a mocking look before turning away and heading out.
Eva suddenly starts blushing still frowning.
She sighed and bent to pick the bags when she hears a voice from behind
"Hey Evy..."
The voice was so familiar
She turned and her eyes widened ....
He was sitting on his broom which was hovering in mid air. He was swinging his legs back and forth with a cute shy smile on his face which made Eva's heart flip.
"Nathaniel" She whispered happily and came close to him.
This was Nathaniel, Eva's 'boyfriend'....well... close friend...She had feelings for him but she was scared to take things to another level with him... because Nathaniel was a play boy.
He was so far the most handsome male in witch academy.....and right now Eva was really confused.
It was almost like Davis, Jared and Nathaniel were taunting her. They were all so stunning and flawless as if they were created solely to perfection.
Nathaniel had ash colored hair that suited his dreamy jade green eyes.
His jaw line was perfect and his lips were so tempting, his skin, a lemon green color.
He floated over to Eva still on the broom.
He lowered his broom so that he and Eva were on a face to face level.
He smiled another heart warming smile at her, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ears.
"Hello beautiful...I've missed you"
Eva blushed forcing herself to maintain eye contact and not look down.
"We just saw each other last week"
He frowned but his hand didn't leave the side of her face.
"That was when you came to see me in my dorm. It wasn't until yesterday I heard that you were expelled for something you didn't do"
Eva looked down saying nothing
"Why did you take the blame" He whispered which made Eva weak in her knees just listening to his voice.
"I had to. Besides" She turned away from him, attempting to pick her bags up. "Witch Prime was boring any way. Everyone hated me because they thought we were a couple or something. I'm sure it was Tasha who rattled me out because she couldn't stand us together. I'm sure she's happy wherever she is"
"So you think Young Warriors is a much better place"
Eva didn't face him but she stiffened.
"It's my second day here....things will turn out for better after a week"
"School's boring without you" Nathaniel said finally jumping down from his broom which was still hovering on the air.
Eva turned when she felt him close to her.
"You know I can't come back. Once my mum makes up her mind, nothing can change that"
Nathaniel just looked at her.
"I would be coming to check on you..." Then he looked back at the place where Davis had left. "You should be careful around these people"
Eva heart softened at his words.
"I will"
Nathaniel looked at her bags.
"Need some help"
"Oh no I got this..."
Nathaniel persisted. He used his wand and made the bags float in the air like they were feathers.
"Nathaniel what are you doing???"
Eva looked around frantically which caused Nathaniel to chuckle.
"And when did her royal majesty start caring about what people think..."
"Um...when I got expelled. Now please put them down. I don't want to get into trouble"
Nathaniel just rolled his eyes, but his hands didn't move. He suddenly smirked naughtily.
"Under one condition"
Eva bit her lip "Okay. Okay. What is it" She asked quickly trying to take his wand but he kept going backwards making her bags go up, higher into the air.
"I'll come to your dorm tonight. You'll have to follow me somewhere...."
"But Nathaniel we're not supposed to...."
"The Eva I know doesn't care about rules"
Eva pursed her lips and rolled her eyes.
"Okay. Okay whatever. Just stop okay"
With that Nathaniel brought them down slowly.
Eva realized she had been holding her breath all these while and she sighed loudly.
She turned to glare at Nathaniel but he was already hovering up in the air on his broom.
He smiled at her again, which made whatever that wanted to come out of her mouth, to die on her lips.
"10:00pm tonight. Don't forget"
Then he flew away
Eva was so busy trying not to let anyone see Nathaniel that she didn't realize what she had gotten herself into.
Did she just agree to go on a date with Nathaniel???

Chapter 7: I promise
Eva snorts as she rolled her eyes. She glared at the maids and they run out of the throne room followed by the limping guards who as much as they were hurt, didn't want to be part of whatever was happening or was about to happen..
The last time, these two battled, several lives were rendered useless.
Shirmona calmly stands sweeping her long garment which was curled on her throne, down to cover her flawless legs.
Looking at Shirmona you wouldn't believe she was a mother not to mention a grandmother as well.
She looked so young and fresh looking, it was hard to tell who was the youngest between she and Eva
There were ten steps leading up to the throne. Shirmona didn't wait for Eva to step up, instead she leaped down the steps, landing gracefully on her knees and one palm placed to the floor.
The other was outstretched and with a dangerous glint in her eyes, she muttered something and before Eva could realize what was happening, the sword in her hand flew towards the queen's hand and she quickly closed her hand around it while standing up.
"I'm in no mood to play one of your childish games this evening Evy dear" Said Shirmona throwing the sword to a far corner and waving her hand as if waving off a pesky fly. "So pick up your toy and leave my sight now that you're still in one piece"
Shirmona's eyes were closed as she talked but it flew open when she felt a sharp blade close to her exposed stomach.
She smiled a small smile.
Eva had one of her daggers close to her navel and she looked at Shirmona with spite in her eyes.
Shirmona was barely moved and just stared at her.
"Stay away from me...and my mother" She whispered dangerously.
Shirmona pretended to be surprised while gasping.
"Evy... she's my daughter...how can you possibly expect me to stay away from her huh?"
"Your daughter???" Eva pushed the dagger forward so that it pierced her stomach harder but not hard enough to draw blood. "You've attempted to take her life several times. Now you tell me what type of mother would do such a thing"
Despite the pain, Shirmona smirked evilly.
"I don't know what you're talking about, I love my daughter as much as I love you"
Eva calmly shook her head.
She smiled back at Shirmona. A sad mocking smile.
"You and I know the one person you care about...and that's you"
Suddenly and very swiftly, Shirmona grabbed the dagger and threw it aside, then she lifted Eva into the air, above her head and threw her down to the floor like she was a light object.
Eva countered her attack, cartwheeling in the air and landing gracefully on her feet.
"Sweetie if I don't care about you do you think you'd still be alive after attempting to stab me with a dagger" The queen said.
Eva growled in anger and frustration.
The queen starts climbing the steps back to her throne, not even glancing backwards once to check if Eva would try to attack her.
"Now....since you're here..I've actually been feeling lonely and I need someone to talk to" Shirmona made herself comfortable on her throne.
Eva snorted again and starts leaving.
"Talk to your throne then....you seem to enjoy sitting there a lot"
Suddenly her legs start moving on their own and they carried her off to face Shirmona and stayed still so that Eva couldn't move her legs.
She glared at her grandmother.
She grunted as she forced her legs to move but they wouldn't bulge. Suddenly, she fell to the floor.
She stared wide eyed at Shirmona who was tapping her long nails on the arm of her throne.
"You're lucky I paralyzed just your legs" Eva shuddered knowing now she was defenseless against her. "Now be a good granddaughter that you are and tell me what happened at school today".
Eva sighed as she made her way into her mother's room.
It was actually the smallest room in the house.
Yeah...Shirmona treated her daughter like trash....
Tears formed at the rims of her eyes as she saw how pale her mother looked despite the smile she forced on her weary face.
You would think she was Shirmona's mother and not the other way round.
"Evy .." She said when Eva pulled her close to her chest and hugged her tight.
"Does she know about your new school" Joann asked pulling away to look at Eva while wiping the tears that were falling down her daughter's cheeks.
Eva shakes her head.
"She still thinks I'm attending witch Prime academy" Then Eva squeezed her face. "But mother...why that school..... I'm the only witch there and everyone is treating me like I have something against them...I know you have your reasons but..why?"
Joann placed her cold palm against Eva's cheek.
"I know it's going to be hard settling in but just know that I mean well for you".
Eva pouted. "Everyone hates me"
She smiled weakly.
"That Elve who hugged you earlier meant otherwise"
"Okay...not everyone but you know what I mean mum..no matter how hard I try to prove that I'm not a threat, they would still hate me because I'm related to Shirmona"
Joann closed her eyes and sighed.
"Eva I love you" She suddenly said "And I don't want you to end up like me"
Eva held her mother's hands in hers and she looked into the dim eyes that had died many years ago.
"Then let me kill her"
"You can't" Joann said with a weak smile.
Eva pouted.
"You took my broom, my spell book and my wand...of course I can't. All I'm left with is my stupid weak powers"
"Believe me Eva, even if you combine them all together and form a horde of witches like you, you would only be going on a suicide mission....I've tried more than just casting spells and trying to kill her but nothing really worked...I tried finding her weakness but when I did, it was too late for me"
"Shirmona has a weakness???" Eva gasped and Joann covered her mouth with her hand and used the other to place in on her lips.
"The walls have ears Eva. She can be eavesdropping on us right now..but I want to make this clear to you. I won't tell you her weakness but I will tell you to be the best at school. They train young Latimums like you into brave and independent warriors...I want you to learn every fighting skill and ability you could possibly learn...no slacking Evy and please don't get into trouble there"
Eva just looked at her mother.
She wanted her to learn martial art?
What good will that do..
She just rolled her eyes.
"Yes mum. Sure. Whatever. Can I have my things now. I'm going back to school tomorrow and I don't think I'll be leaving the school premises any more"
"Evy just promise me one thing"
Eva didn't answer her immediately.
Her mother was sounding strange as if...
"Mother" She held Joann. "Are you..dying"
Joann just smiled. "Of course not dear. I'll never leave you. I'll always be here" Then she placed her hand on Eva's chest where her heart was pounding. "with you"
Eva didn't understand what she meant but she frowned a bit....
"Promise me ...that when you rule over the witch kingdom, you'd be nothing like your grandmother"
"Mum how can you even say something like that. You know I can never be like her"
"I'm serious Eva. You and I know the reason you throw tantrums and get into trouble is because you possess alot of her traits and genes"
Eva suddenly felt scared as she remembered the time she lost control of her powers ....she almost wiped half the entire witch kingdom..she killed alot of people...
She lowered her gaze but Joann drew her head up so that they were facing each other.
"Promise me.. please"
Eva nods, almost choking on her tears.
"I promise"
