Chapter 207: Get Married Again

"That went well," Ava observed later that night as they retired to bed.

"Yeah it did," Mason replied as he pulled a duvet over them. He pecked her forehead.

"Herieta seems nice, she was quite welcoming," Ava said as she came closer and placed her on Mason's chest.

"Yeah so I observed, but I learned my lessons with Deb. Not everyone who seems nice is nice."

"Oh, my poor Baby," Ava rubbed his chest. "Deb has made you lose your trust in people."

"You can say that again. They say, once bitten, twice shy."

"I understand how you feel, but I don't think it will be fair on Herieta if you decide to punish her for Deb's sins, something that she didn't do," Ava said.

Mason sighed. "Yeah, that's true. But I'm only trying to guard my heart. Herieta is so friendly and welcoming and so was Deb."

"Not everyone is like Deb. Please don't prevent yourself from experiencing love from others because of what Deb did." Ava said.
