Mason was awakened in the middle of the night by Ava's screams.

"Please Layla wake up!"

Ava screamed. Her eyes were closed and her head turning from side to side with tears streaming down her cheeks. She was having a nightmare.

"Baby, wake up," Mason gentle nudged her awake. He switched on his bedside lamp and Ava opened her eyes as the light poured on her face.

She was breathing really fast her eyes moving around frantically.

"You were having a nightmare," Mason said puller her closer to his body and wrapping his arms around her.

"I can't stop thinking about her and how she was shot," Ava cried.

"It's okay Baby," Mason slowly rubbed on her back. "I'm sorry you had to witness that."

"What if she doesn't make it? What if she is already dead?" Ava cried harder, her voice laced with fear.
