Chapter 60: Chapter 58 Accident II
Just when the truck almost crashed at them, Lucifer materialized in the middle of the scene. He freezed time with a single snap of his fingers.
"Those little demon rats" Lucifer hissed. "You did a good work Odin" he praised his demon servant who was in his human form.
He leaned on the car's window as he watched their freezing face.
"What should we do now master?" Odin asked.
"We access the situation Odin" Lucifer snapped his fingers and a fancy chair appeared in the middle of the road, he sat on it with legs crossed. He rested his face on his knuckles lazily.
"If only there was an heir to relieve me of this stress" he mutters.
"Have you thought about having a child master? no offence master but I don't think Delilah is suitable for that position" Odin was polite with his words.
Lucifer let out a loud series of laughter, "That brat would turn hell upside down. I rather die than let that thing rule hell" he said.
Time ticked by for the two demons and Lucifer was still sitting on the chair with head on his knuckles.
"Uhm... master" Odin called when he thought Lucifer had fallen asleep leaving the world in suspense.
" Am not asleep Odin!!" he said, he stood up from the chair and walked briskly to where the truck was. He stretches his hand and blue smokes pushed the car near the end of the bridge.
"There, everything solved" he smirked. Lucifer and Odin turned into bats and perched in a tree not too far from the incidence. Lucifer released the time which he had froze.
Evie and Betty gasped in shock when the truck fell off the bridge and into the sea.
"E.. Evie what the heck just happened? that truck was about to hit us seconds ago" Betty was in shock.
"I_i don't know Betty" Evie was also in shock. Their escorts who had been tailing behind them immediately came to fetch them. They were guided to the black limo.

"Well that was a very weird and scary ride" Betty said as they entered the apartment.
"Yes" Evie starred at the house she spent so much time in. This was the place she called home but after spending time with Jarad, she was having second thoughts about it. "I hope the psycho driver survives" Evie added.
"Well it's better him than us, the guy almost killed us" Betty said as both girls entered the living room.
"Let's just pray he's a good swimmer".
Chelsea ran towards Evie and he barked loudly while licking her face.
"I missed you so much girl" Evie cuddled her dog.
"Hey no hugs for me Chelsea? if she's your mother, that makes me your aunt you know" Betty pouts and the dog licked her arm playfully.
"That's enough Chelsea" Both girls giggled.
They pulled out the suitcase and started packing clothes inside and they returned back to the living room when they were done with that.
"We might not return here again" Evie sighs.
Betty got up and hugged Evie " It doesn't matter where we are, what's important is that we're together and that always feels like home to me" Betty said and Evie patted her back.
"Come on, Let's get going " Evie said, Evie carried Chelsea and Betty held her suitcase. They opened the door and a surprise look married their face.
Jarad looks hardened and Ethan just stood with an unfathomable expression on his face.
"Why are you guys here? is there a problem?" Evie asked worriedly.
"Everything's fine, let's go home please" Jarad's tone was smooth and calm.
"O.. okay" Evie said. Jarad yanked her wrist gently before taking her away. Betty sighs and locks the door with the keys in her hands.
"Why are you still here?" Betty glared at Ethan.
"What? did I do something wrong?" Ethan smirked.
"You took my car away without telling me" She folded her hands.
"Am sorry about that but we can't keep standing here forever can we?" He smiled and took her suitcase. He rolled it behind him and walks away and Betty followed him.
Evie and Jarad had left them behind so they both entered Ethan's car. Betty turned red as she remembered how they had passionately kissed in that very same car. She tried to hide her face by looking out the window.
"Thinking about naughty things" Ethan's voice made her heart skip.
"Naughty things? why would I be thinking about that? You kissed me first" Betty defended.
"Who said anything about us kissing?" he chuckled.
"But you said naughty things and..."
"I meant you were thinking about destroying my car because I took yours away without your permission" Ethan said. "Betty do you want me to kiss you? you don't have to be shy about it". Ethan continued teasing her.
Betty felt like her head was going to explode, "Just drive the damn car!!!!" Betty yells.
Ethan chuckle and he increased the speed of the car. In no time, they were already back at Jarad's mansion.
Betty hastily got down from the car the moment it came to a halt, a servant quickly carried the luggage from the car.
Betty took long strides to the mansion, desperately trying to find Evie.
"Where's Evie" Betty asked Ethan who had effortlessly matched up with her presumed 'long strides'.
"She's busy with her boyfriend" he said in a bored tone. "I will show you to your room" He headed to the elevator expecting Betty to follow suite but she didn't.
"What is it?" he asked.
"I don't want you to show me to my room" she said firmly.
Ethan sighed, he really didn't have the patience to deal with her tantrums. He walked up to where she was, his body frame towered above her's. She was way... shorter than him. Without warning, he scooped her in his arms. He carried her bridal style.
"What the fuck are you doing?? Put me down now!!" She tried to struggle out of his grip but it didn't affect him one bit. He was really strong. Eventually, she was worn out and she relaxed in his arms with a reddened face.
"There there be an obedient girlfriend for me" Ethan said.
" We're not dating!!!! " she yells.
"Your face says otherwise " Ethan chuckled.
Ethan reached the room reserved for her after taking flights of stairs. He dropped her carefully on the floor. As expected, she glared at him but this time it was much fiercer than ever before.
" You hurt me Betty" he says. Betty rolled her eyes,
" there isn't a single scratch on your face or body part!!!!" She said
"True but it hurts right here" Ethan pointed his hand to his chest where his heart laid. " I need a compensation " he said.
" I specifically told you not to do it " She turns her back and was ready to enter the room when Ethan abruptly turned her facing him. He slams her back to the wall and he kissed her hard.
His hungry lips feasted on hers but he was gentle at the same time. She was putty under his touch, she felt him squeeze her butt as he bit her lips, sucking and savoring her sweet taste.
He pulled back when he heard someone cleared his throat, it was Sebastian. Betty wanted the ground to swallow her, she was quick to turn red again.
