Chapter 169: Doubts

A myriad of questions were twirling through Laurie's mind, and she found herself reeling in them, even though she didn't want to. 

She didn't want these thoughts at all, because she knew they'd only bring in doubts about their relationship, but they were already festering through her head, and she didn't know why.

Maybe it was knowing that unlike her, Genny had been his real choice. She has always been the woman he wanted.

She was someone he had pinned for a long time, but Genny had made the decision not to be with him, while she on the other hand, had made herself an option for him. 

Kyle had despised her from the very beginning, but had slowly warmed up to her. Did that count for something? Laurie mused.

He had repeatedly told how much he loved her, but she couldn't help but wonder if he loved her as much as he had loved and wanted Genny. 

Did he love her enough to stick with her if Genny were to come back and profess her love for him?
