Alex took note of the pensive look on Vanessa's face as they handed out the flyers they had brought. She seemed slightly distracted than she had been yesterday and even minutes ago.
He took the last of the flyers from her and quickly distributed them to the passerbys, while she watched and waited by the curb.
He turned to her and his brows furrowed when he saw her demeanor. Was she thinking about what he had said and how it was going to affect her earning the money she needed to move out of his place?
That was his best guess, and he was almost certain that was her line of thought.
"That's the last of it." He said as he sauntered towards her. Vanessa nodded and scanned her eyes around the environment before staring back at Alex.
"That's a lot of flyers and no one seems to know Buddy, do you think he's actually from this area?" She curiously asked, sprouts of doubts already lingering in her mind.
