Declan threw down the folder that Francis had just handed him.

"Is this how you are investigating?" he snapped. "You can't figure out who those two men on the bike were. You failed to find the driver of the Range Rover, let alone the one who hit Yasmin. By the way, what are you doing?"

Francis looked at the folder on the floor. He couldn't lift his head, self-loathing and embarrassment overwhelming him. He was furious at himself for failing to discover who was plotting to hurt his boss. He thought he was useless and someone else would have done a better job.

"I believe your sources are all sleeping," Declan fumed.

Francis raised his eyes at him. "We detained the owner of the Range Rover. We will find the driver soon." He tried to project confidence.

"How are you going to do it?" Declan fumed. "According to your report, the driver was recently hired, and the owner knows very little about him."
