Chapter 91: Chapter 90- The surprise

Earl clutched his wrist, his mind racing towards irrational fears. A sudden sense of increased temperature in the room made his cheeks red.

"Yes…" He turned back to him, attempting to smile.

His flushed appearance was nothing new to Declan. He had never given it much thought before. At this point, he was curious as to why Earl was nervous around him.

He wrinkled his brow, mentally questioning, 'What are you hiding?'

Earl cleared his throat. "Do you have something to say? Uh… if you need documents from the orphanage, I can provide it."

"I am not thinking about that," Declan said. "I am trying to understand why you are helping Natasha."

Earl's eyes were stoned. The tightness in his tummy rolled up to his chest, choking him. "N-Natasha… s-she is… I know her. We worked together on a project and became friends."

"I see." Declan still looked at him with suspicion.
