Chapter 127: "Meeting Duke Fez In His Dream" 

Duke Fez's dream realm had nothing but darkness and only had a small part of the light area…

It was because he was still alive inside the light area but she passed away, leaving him alone inside that small area. 

The darkness represented death and everytime the little girl left the light area, Duke Fez seemed to recall the baby's death. 

As for the pain and loneliness or the hint of blaming, it must be what Duke Fez imagined and what he felt that the little girl would feel too. 

Mariella shook her head as she walked slowly towards the light area. 

Her eyes were even more determined than ever. 

She had to save Duke Fez from this endless nightmare and let him know that the real her didn't wish him to be like this! 

Just like in the countless nightmares before, Mariella in her baby form walked to the light area and found Duke Fez, who seemed to be waiting for her.
