The NEW Yggdrasil & That’s what Friends are for
What had changed to the world, for a more obvious sense of the word and to sum it all up.
The New World and Yggdrasil had merged as one new world(s) as the new world where we were on right now was surrounded by 8 other celestial bodies with the New World in the center.
"This is unexpected, to say the least…." Now I really don't know what we're supposed to do, this is still the New World as well but I can just feel that the New World has taken the place of Midgard back in Yggdrasil.
Alfheim, Asgard, Vanaheim, Niflheim, Muspelheim, Helheim, Svartalfheim, and Jotunheim were all here once more but now there own planets in this new world and new universe thanks to the machinations of the Author messing with the story.
"It's Yggdrasil…. But I also feel that it isn't as well, we weren't able to see the other worlds that we see now, it was just one world, but then we would just go to one of the games gates to the next realm and play there but this…. This is completely different…." Even Momonga was confused as well.
"Momonga, no Satoru, I need to come clean with you about somethings, things that may help explain the situation we are in, but after I tell you this I hope that you still consider me a friend after what you find out…." I say and being serious by saying his original name to him.
"…. I feel that you have your reasons for hiding somethings from me, everyone has their secrets, but if it can explain anything as to what's going on then it would be great if you shed some light on what you know Ryuu." Saying in all seriousness as well.
And so in what to some could have been called as a stupid move by some, I decided to explain the main primary things as to who I am and why I was here, and what is going on.

About an hour later, I finished explaining in simplest terms as to what I know, I only told him the information pertinent to Satoru and a bit on who I am and where I am from.
But as he isn't exactly the smartest person in the world, since he only graduated from elementary school and had no higher education, so things I said clearly went over his head.
"So your not from earth, but a different world overall, and you knew of my world and the story of the Guild of Ainz Ooal Gown, and wished to join up with us and just enjoy our company and enjoy the game of Yggdrasil, and you knew that this would happen with being sent into a separate world after the game closes, but because you came to my world you accidentally changed history as this New World wasn't supposed to look like this, a merger between this world and Yggdrasil…. This is hard to believe…. If this is really true can you tell me something that if what you said is true you would know about me but I've never told you about myself…." He clearly wanted to believe but everything I had said was too unbelievable to believe.
And if you heard this from anyone you would be a raving lunatic in there mind, but I obviously wasn't.
"Well most of the things I would have come to know about you were from your time in the guild, I never saw what happened to your time while part of Ainz Ooal Gown, only after it all ended and that you ended up here, you would mention here and there of the things that would happen in the past but you would rarely mention to yourself about your real life, though there is only one thing you ever mentioned during the original events of the unaltered history of this world that you haven't told anyone from the original 43 of us, but…. I don't know if you'll like it if I say it…."
"…. Just say it, I can handle it…. Though it better not be something embarrassing to say the least…."
"No…. It's about your mother…. And how she had died from overworking herself one day while trying to make you your favorite sandwich…."
"…."
"After she passed away, you tried to make that sandwich again yourself, but you never got it right and in the end you never tried to make the same sandwich again…."
Hearing that I could see him visibly shake before he sat down on the edge of the rooftop of the entrance of Nazarick before putting his staff down beside him as he held his head while looking down.
I could constantly see something activating on his body, it was his emotional suppression ability going into overdrive to keep away from those sad and depressing thoughts.
Seeing that I sat down right next to him, seeing him like this didn't make me feel good for making him think about his mother once more, or how fucked up his world was.
But I didn't want to see him like this, so I thought of doing something nice for him, and for him to know I truly think of him as a friend.
"By my decree, Momonga now also has the Racial trait of the shapeshifter, allowing him to take on his once human form." I say activating my pen and giving him the power he never had before, while not interfering with his total necromancer build nor making him lose any abilities for what I had done.
He stops shaking and looks up at me, "Your using your WCI… for me? Why?"
"It's not a WCI, I just said it was so that me having such an overpowered thing in Yggdrasil would make sense to both you, our guild and our enemies, this is a power I got before I ever came to your world, a cheat item of my own, I don't use it for selfish reasons that often as I only like to use it for emergencies, but for you I'll make an exception." I say with a grin as I write up my second wish, and to some my dumbest wish to date.
"Make me a Sandwich just like my friend Satoru here's mother once made for him all those years ago!" I say as I use up the second charge on my pen dropping me down to 8 wishes for now.
And soon enough a plate appeared with a sandwich on it, stale bread with very thin slices of synthetic ham, synthetic lettuce and synthetic tomato, something for someone as poor as he was at a young age was considered to him to be a delicacy at the time where mostly everyone would drink nutrient food slurry's just to get there daily caloric and nutrient intake daily.
He saw what was before him and shakily went to grab the sandwich, and bringing it up to his face to see it.
"…. It looks exactly the same…." He says while looking at it intently before just thinking about it and his body shrinking and shapeshifting back to his original form before slowly and gently taking a bite out of it.
His eye's obstructed by his hair and the bit of stubble on his chin and rather average looks made him really look like a 30 year old salary man, but as he ate ate the dish I could see one line of tears stream down his face as he ate the sandwich with relish.
"…. It's the same…. It's the same…." He would say between bites as he ate the sandwich before him.
I just smiled and patted his back, "That's what friends are for right?" And he just nods as he keeps eating the sandwich in his hands slowly as to savor the taste of it until it's all gone.
That day he may have learned that my whole existence was a lie, but through all the ups and downs over the years I spent with him all the way to the end and the new beginning in this world and him receiving a gift he thought he would never be able to get ever again for the rest of his life he realized something.
He didn't care if I knew his story and just came to his world just for fun, no through it all I really became his friend, one of if not his best friend at that so all was forgiven and now all we can both do is strive for this new future together.
And all it took was a sandwich to truly cement our friendship from now until the end of our days.
After finishing the last of the sandwich, Satoru licked off the remaining bit from his fingers before grabbing his staff, turning back into his overlord form and standing up alongside me.
With a grin I look at him before putting my hat back on and taking on my shadow demon form, "Well I think we've kept the floor masters waiting long enough, shall we old friend?" I say holding out my fist.
"Hmph, let's go and take this new world by storm." He says as he fist bumps me back before we both teleport away once more.
This world will soon come to fear the name of Ainz Ooal Gown.

I hope you guys like how I resolved that, anything that has to do with Satoru's Mother is somewhat of a sore spot, but being able to eat her cooking once again is probably the easiest way to make him happy.
And yes Ryuu real does think of him as a true friend after spending around 12 years together throughout all there adventures together, now next up is to figure out what has changed and to try to once again reach Helheim and reestablish there original base of power there once more.
