Old Lover (2)

Lord Kieran didn't rush off to meet Queen Heloise. Instead, he took his time and helped to get Iris fed first before anything else. He accompanied Iris during her meal though he didn't join her to eat, but had a drink instead. He also summoned her friends to join them for lunch and witnessed how thrilled and relieved Iris had been to see them safe.

"How are you feeling, Iris? Are you sure you don't need to stay on your bed?" Amelia asked. She gave Lord Kieran a quick look and saw that he was at ease. She wasn't sure what to feel about Iris becoming this demon lord's lover, but Amelia surmised that she really didn't have any say on it. She could only hope that things would go well between him and Iris.

"I'm fine, Amelia. I think three days of sleep is more than enough for a human like me." Iris smiled, unbothered by the fact that she was a mere human with no magic that could protect her now.
