Into the Labyrinth (2)

The labyrinth of the Dark Abyss was different from what Iris had in her mind. Rea and Nessa kept her company and the two were kind enough to answer all her questions, no matter how trivial they were.

The place wasn't shrouded in darkness, despite being the lowest level of the labyrinth. She wondered what it looked like on the upper levels, but her two attendants told her that it would be a bad idea to get to the upper levels because each level was filled with bloody fights, each worse than the other.

Nessa said that the lights at the lowest level were magically provided by the magical items made by the Black Mage. It had been over a millennium since Arman's death, and yet his creations were still functioning to this day.

Iris was astounded that the Black Mage's magic was able to last. In Shayla, Iris learned that a magus can imbue their magic into crystals, stones, and other things, but there was a limit on how much mana they can put in them.
