"Oh…" I held back a sniffle and paused. "Sorry," I breathed into my palms as I clasped half of my face, my head turned away from Fashire. 

He sat up and shifted in discomfort, not knowing what to do. 

It was depressing. And each entry showed even more disturbing details. It was excessive, but it coincided with what Strome described. But here, it said the earth was crumbling, and when the primordials came, it was fine. 

Ember must have done something, but what it was, we were yet to find out. 

It was hard noting their journey down, but it must have been even harder for them to experience it, and most especially Ingrid, who had to document it all again in another book.

There were breaks in the entries where Ingrid, at the time, noted how she had to take a pause. She had healed, but reading through had brought up repressed memories that bothered her. 

And yet she returned to continue for the sake of fulfilling her responsibility.
