Chapter 39: Trouble In Orbit

While the ground forces were dealing with the problem of the Pterors, the fleet in space was also dealing with another dilemma.

"Tell me something! Why can't we reach our ground forces?!" The commander, Dreyfus, growled as he demanded answers. Answers that he knew he would not be getting because his subordinates were also similarly clueless.

The crewmembers that were in charge of communication between the fleet and the ground forces looked down with helpless expressions. They too, were clueless. Their attempts to reach the ground troops all ended up with getting scrambled responses filled with white noise.

"It's almost as if someone is jamming out communication attempts." Someone said.

"That should be impossible! There is no one in this star system but us." Dreyfus responded with a frown.
