Chapter 54: THERE’S AN IMPOSTOR AMONG US

WHEN ISAAK arrived at Zoe's room, he found his wife still on the bed where he tucked her earlier.

But, this time, Zoe was inside a transparent "coffin" made from a substance similar to slime.

Ah, scratch that.

It wasn't a slime– it was that talking demon minion called 'Goofball,' if he remembered the bastard's name correctly.

"My lady…"

Zoe's attendant, Dal (if he remembered it right), was trying to free his wife by stabbing the slime with her dagger nonstop. But, of course, the blade would just bounce off the slime.

"Stop," Isaak ordered the attendant indifferently. "What if you accidentally hurt Zoe?"

Dal immediately stopped attacking the slime, then she hid her dagger behind her while bowing her head towards him. "I didn't think that far ahead. I apologize for my recklessness, Your Grace."

"What happened?" he asked as he carefully approached the bed where his wife was. "It has only been a few minutes since I left this room."
