"You don't have to kill him."

"Alright."

Ava was speechless.

"But we could kill everyone that opposed us. What do you think?"

"You speak of killing as if it's a very simple thing."

"It's not."

"But dying is just a part of the process," Matthew explained.

"Still, you can't just kill people because you want to."

He stared at her. "I never thought you would be this kind."

"I am not kind," Ava said. "I just don't trouble. If you kill people, their loved ones would surely seek revenge. Then it would be a never-ending cycle of fighting against each other. Isn't that tiring?"
