A Revolt

Ava lied.

And she did it without blinking an eyelid. 

Phil was alive.

And he was still acting like a damn animal.

Baba insisted it was the stress.

But Ava didn't believe her.

Something else must have happened. Something must have triggered it.

"Why did you attempt to frame my brother?"

"It wasn't me," Jude answered. The man was trying to act calm but Ava knew he was scared of her. "I already told you. I did what the higher ups told me to do. I am but a small fish in the pond, V. There are things that I didn't know. A LOT of them."

"So why did you give me Samuel's address?"

"I've met him. We were friends."

"Lie."

"I'm not lying. Look… I can't just act friendly in front of everyone else. You know how my family is."
