Chapter 271: Almost there

The undead just stood there, emotionless. Stephan approached her, observing her changes. It seemed that it only moved when there was a threat over the big tree. Could it be that the tree of dreams made her like this? He shook his head, it wouldn't work like this. It was too damn strange.

As he looked inside her eyes, he noticed a small blackness around her eyeballs. She had brown eyes but the blackness was spreading slowly. If it wasn't for the fact that he walked for around an hour, trying to make her move and experimenting on its behaviour, he wouldn't have noticed it at all. It was in this kind of situation that he missed a camera or his phone.

"Did you find out something?" Jack said, after returning from his long walk. He was ragged and exhausted, especially with a lack of food and water. His lips were split and dry.

Stephan shook his head. "Did you find food?"
