Chapter 44: Why does it affect you so much?

Mona was already standing in front of her gate, staring at Kenny shyly because he was staring at her in that look that could melt any girl.

Suddenly, he went closer to her and framed her face with her hair she let down as he had told her. Mona looked into his eyes. "Whenever you see vampires don't get scared, just show them the pearl you have and they'd ask for your forgiveness immediately." He told her silently and combed her puffy hair with his fingers.

Mona dipped her hand into her bag, search for the Pearl and brought it out. "Is it magical?"

Kenny looked down at it as his hand was still in her hair. He straightened her hair and leaned back. "It's just a symbol."

"Ohh, someday, I'll know what symbol is right?"

Kenny couldn't help but smile. "Yes," he answered.

"Okay, I'll wait for that day."
