Chapter 33: Eastside of Daliy Hills

Mr Ken had given his response to the black girl almost immediately after she sent her message but because she was expecting the next teacher she wasn't able to check her phone for more text messages, and because of her mood. She forgot about her phone and let herself feel broken. It was easier to feel that way, even when she told herself to trash her feelings and live life, Mona just couldn't. 

After she entered Daliy Hills, Mr Ken dropped off the bus he took home and went his way.

Mona led her legs away from the street to her home and went straight to a place void of people. She went to the short cliff that was by the east side of Daliy Hills. 

The moment she settled her feet on the stones, she looked down at her feet and let out her tears, the tears that had been burning her throat. The girl stroke her aching cheek and lifted her gaze only to scream.
