Chapter 144: Help a sister-in-law

"What happened?" Sly frowned at me as he gazed at the old man.

"I don't know," I sat back on the chair and glanced to the side. "Have you met him before?"

The reaction of the old man when he saw Sly was too intense.

Could it be that they have met before?

"I don't think so." Sly shook his head, "I don't think I will miss someone like him. If I've met him before, I will know."

Well, that's true.

The old man isn't a person that can be easily forgotten.

He sure leaves a mark on others.

"But he seems to know you."

I can shake off the words the old man said.

Sly shrugged, "you don't have to think of his words any more." He pointed at the envelope on the table, "you have got everything about your mother in there. Don't you think it's time we start thinking of how to meet her?"

"That's true." I touch the envelope.

Oddly, I wasn't ready to meet my mother.

"I don't want to meet her just yet."
