After dinner, she had a light cup of coffee with Daphne. Sometimes, she wished someone would add some kind of drug to her coffee or drinks. It would be easier to sleep. God, she missed sleeping soundly.
"And?" She asked, trying her best to suppress her laughter.
"Then what?" Daphne huffed. " It's one thing to wear the diamond for everyone to see, but another to show it off. Turns out, it was fake, and everyone knew it at a glance."
She snickered, something that she rarely ever did. "A diamond would never twinkle. If it does twinkle in dim light then it's fake and everyone, old or new money knows that. How she did not, we would never know."
It was never not content to know how someone was put in their place. Just like it had happened with the fake diamond for men. She had a good ending and hopefully a good lesson. However, Joyce was quickly distracted from that.
"How's everything with the charity?"
