Joyce sat up on the bed. If she continued sitting down, then, for sure, she was going to fall asleep again. This has been a cycle where she had gotten up, just wanted to close her eyes for a few more seconds, but ended up falling asleep again.
This time it was not going to happen because now she was hungry.
It must be the medicines that were messing with her.
Groggily, she got up from the bed and moved towards the bathroom. She used the toilet before washing her hands and then washing her face. Then she tied her hair into a burn before finally feeling a little bit awake.
She swayed a little as she walked, but only moved towards the balcony, where she and Daphne would often have breakfast.
Joyce did not bother to call anyone. She was sure that within a few seconds, minutes at most, Gavin was going to appear by her side with a plate full of food.
"Ma'am," two minutes, yes she had been counting, "I have tomato soup ready. Would you like to have some?"
