With her mouth agape, Joyce stared at Charles first, before looking at Adrian. It was obvious that the man was thinking about what to do. By now, since Charles had not been shot, it was clear Adrian was still giving him a chance to live his life.

Why in the world watchers try to attack his brother? She just could not write her head around it. Even if he had decided to attack his brother, and not a powerful man, Charles should have seen the two men present in the room. They were obviously going to overpower him which they had.

Joyce licked her lips, thinking about what she could do in this situation. Charles was not going to escape punishment. That much was a given. In the presence of Gavin and Tobey, a punishment had to be carried out. The only thing she could contribute to was to make sure that it was not too much.

"Adrian," she stepped closer to him, " can you please think of it instead of doing something now? He is family."
