Chapter 39: Friendly Battle

"I can walk on my own," Marion answered, listlessly. She couldn't have told William it was her father. What William knew, her father was undergoing treatment for a serious illness.

It wasn't that she was embarrassed, then she didn't want anyone to know that the lycan who had just caused trouble was her father. There was something else that made her not want anyone to know her father's identity.

The reason was, because of her father and mother's past.

"You're exhausted, Marion! This is an order, don't argue!" William swiftly crouched down and forced Marion on his back. Then walked slowly towards the car that he parked some distance from where they are now.

Marion tried to struggle, but William was more stubborn than she was. Or is it William who deserves the nickname the head of stone?
