It’s pretty misleading putting the reincarnation and transmigration tag. He gets some memories from the future, and absolutely nothing changes within him. He is like, ‘cool,’ and moves on. I kept reading in hopes that it would be used in any way, but that did not happen. Moreover, a lot of situations and inside the story feel disposable, as though they contribute nothing to it. If you cut those chapters in half, it would stay the same. There has been no interesting or intriguing development that would entice me to read more. As a reader, I hoped for a more meaningful development.

Honestly, I'm only writing a review to find out if the author is going to continue it, I never felt that a novel in Webnovel was worth paying for until this one, I like kingdom building and this one does it very well, things are well studied. I like that it is not a reincarnation or a normal transmigration, the mc receives memories through dreams, but he feels Roman, for those who complain that he is stupid, that is honestly the reason why I gave him a 5 star in construction character, normally in Webnovel they are usually made into perfect gentlemen from the beginning, but they are just characters, they don't feel human. It's a shame that he ended up in the fight for Persia.
Yet another great book from Zent. The story is brilliant and always has me on tenterhooks. Thoroughly Underrated.
One of the best novels so far!! Slow update. Author need to release more chapters. 3.8 for inconsistent chapter release.
I love this novel definitely one of the best kingdom building novel in webnovel. I think this is even better than tyranny of steel.
This novel is a rare find in the kingdom building genre which is usually flooded with fantasy/magic/sci-fi elements instead this one is realistic. It is an interesting novel with a lot of attractive features, the MC is ruthlessly pragmatic in cutting out the cancer that infects his empire. My second favourite kingdom building novel after Mediterranean Hegemon of Ancient Greece
Trash novel. Tyranny of Steel was somewhat of a better novel. But here the MC is just plain stupid. Despite calling himself the greatest General, he has the smarts of a 3-year-old kid with a brain the size of a pea. He can't even blatantly see how others treat his slave. Serving an incompetent Emperor, and he justifies it with being loyal to the country. If he was loyal to the country and its people, the first this he would do would be to kill that Emperor. He does so much for the country and then gets flogged through the streets naked. And still remains loyal. Lol sure. Instead of being realistic and practical, Go live in your wish fulfillment, would be believed world Author

I LOVE THIS BOOK. There's finally a good book that's about the WESTERN ROMAN EMPIRE on here. I've been waiting for a really long time for it to happen. I read up till ch.18 but nothing of interest happened. MC got a memory of the future but had done nothing about it. He's still the same man so to call this transmigration or reincarnation is not entirely correct in my opinion. I thought even if it's just memory, he'd use that to his advantage, but nothing of the source at all. I will continue to see further but if MC didn't take advantage of what he has, then I don't see the point of continuing with this story. Came here for a future knowledge kingdom-building story, and till now, nothing happen most of the early chapters can be skipped and you hardly miss a thing.
This novel made me redownload Total War: Attila. The author seems to do plenty of research and put plenty of thought into his novels to make sure that you get the right balance of believable alternate history and thrilling story progression.

Zent will forever be my favorite author here after ToS. Having said that, I gave the story 15 chapters and the story crawled for me. I wish for everyone to give it a chance. My cup of tea may not be yours. His grammar is top notch and the worlds are vivid. My only complaint was the drive of the story.
I've been waiting for a good novel about ancient Rome for years, now I see that Zentmeister has created one and I have no doubt that it will be incredible.
The story had enormous potential, but it was destroyed. From chapter 1~17, 12 chapters are 100% disposable. The main character should reincarnate facing the numerous difficulties, including psychological problems of being trapped in a newborn's body until adolescence, and show the enormous advantages and disadvantages of that time, until the beginning of the military campaigns. I expected a lot from this story, but it's a waste of time.

i gave 5 star based on his other novel an i will start reading this one wene it gets to 50 i love your novels keep doing what you are doing
first of all he doesn't have an advantage because his memories only come when he gets hit in the head, second then there is no need for him to introduce firearms, although there are hopes of cannons or grenades and the like, third, first we it shows a brave and strategic young general, but then it shows us a weak general, incompetent and I don't understand the last thing, if his soldiers have armor, experience, he can finish him off but he decides to be a hostage, pathetic. Although I know what you want to get with the problems you face although it is good but it does not fit much.
I hope you don't make the same mistake of the tryanny of steel and introduce the guns to fast and focus on cold weapons and infrastructure also it would be nice to see more kingdom building instead of war and also hope you introduce heram as its fairly common for powerful men to have them and it died after Christianity took over and to all the people who complain about the girls falling for the mc easily in tryanny of steel are stupid first he is the mc second he is handsome third he is rich and powerful and in old days where daughters wear wed to just gain some profit and have to say in whatsoever its not hard to imagine why they fell for him being liberal and all the above reason so they are just stupid I hope you add heram in this also hope this novel also has the mc writing books on philosophy and what not as he lived in the future and describe how thing might be in future English is not my native tongue sorry

Hasta este momento (capítulo 9) el protagonista todavía no ha formulado un plan de acción para aprovechar su ventaja al haber viajado atrás en el tiempo. ¿Introducirá algún avance tecnológico en el ámbito militar? ¿Aprovechará el conocimiento histórico para favorecer o perjudicar a alguno de los personajes? ¿Impedirá la invasión de los suevos hacia Galicia (en Hispania)? Tengo ganas de leer los nuevos capítulos para ver lo que ha planeado el autor.
This has been a long time coming can't wait to see what Zent does with this novel after all ToS was great and with the year extra experience under his belt Zent will be able to do a lot better with this one. Still ToS is amazing as well. Anyway I know this is going to be a good one (that will also hurt my coin pouch)
Trust me when it comes to this author no novel he writes can be bad I enjoy his two other novels so I’ll gladly try out this one! Can’t wait to dive into this new read.
