Chapter 166: PAINFUL YELLS

Ning Mei was merrily enjoying her time when she heard a faint noise of someone yelling in pain. She stopped munching on her chips and concentrated on the source of the sound. It was faint but she could, hear it. 

Ning Mei then heard the yell again of the same voice. It was coming from the other side of the pond. Ning Mei looked at the direction, bht she could not figure out anything. It was filled with dense nights. And it being the time time was not helping at all. Though the moon was shined brightly tonight, Ning Mei could hardly see anything from where she stiod.

Therefore, her curious cat woke up again. And she hurriedly stuffed her mouth with the leftover chips, dusted her hands, carried the cake and walked over the direction of the sound.
