Chapter 163: It Felt Like I Died

"Please follow me, Miss." The woman wearing a maid's uniform said after she told me I needed to come after her.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"You are not going anywhere; Ms. Regina asked me to take you to the room facing the garden where you can see the gazebo." She said, and I found it hard to believe her boss would think of me as her guest and not an enemy.

I followed behind tha maid silently as she walked faster on the hallways while I was looking for a perfect chance to escape. Still, my plan of running away died when I saw Conrad's men patrolling the corridors, and I couldn't believe I looked like a criminal being watched 24/7.

"It took us longer to reach the room since her fellow maid stopped us, and the other housemaid whispered something into her ear, and she nodded and smiled at her friend before we continued walking.
