Chapter 105: A Promise

Tyler's POV

Watching my daughter and Arabella walking on the shore warmed my heart, and it made me so happy that I felt so afraid that she would be gone, and I didn't know what to do with my restless heart anymore. 

I wished to be selfish and make Ara my wife so Anika would have a mom. I remembered my conversation with my daughter when she found me on my balcony watching Arabella like an infatuated schoolboy in high school.

I almost jumped to my feet when I heard her sweet voice. I couldn't deny I was caught in the act of watching Ara with longing on my face. I slowly turned around and faced my daughter, and I could see the mischievous grin on her face.

"Are you crushing Arabella, Daddy, or are you spying on her?" Anika asked as she stood beside me near the balcony railings; it was one of the most beautiful days I had had since she got back on the island.
