Chapter 69: Feeling Betrayed

Arabella's POV

"Oh, I am sorry to hear that, Ara; I hope the bypass surgery will be successful," Elaine said over the phone after I informed her my mom was in the hospital and I would be going home to Kruma city.

"Good luck, Ara, and I hope you will finally find peace within yourself. Making peace with your past will help you to move forward, my dear." She said, and I let out a heavy sigh as I looked at the crowd at the airport terminal.

I was waiting for my boarding time, and I got so busy that I hadn't informed Elaine yesterday. I felt so glad that the Chief Nursing Officer allowed me to take an emergency leave, and I felt delighted Rowena offered to cover some of my shift schedules with our other friends from our department.
