King Jian's expression was dark and indecipherable as he sat at his desk, his arms crossed over his chest and his eyes closed.
Though his expression was impossible to decipher, one could tell from his aura that he was the farthest thing from pleased.
"The Fae have grown too daring, you need not pay them any heed. For things like this, let the boys handle it."
" The presence of the dragon king will only give validity to their accusations...not just anyone gets to seek audience with the king and have it honored as they please." Xenon said from where he stood watching Jian's bristling anger.
"I do know." Jian murmured in response.
"Yet you are uneasy, My Liege." Xenon pointed out the obvious.
"Perhaps because you are too at ease..." Jian accused, his eyes fluttering open.
"And you have been weirdly calm since you returned... even with everything going on, that is usually my place." Jian continued.
