In incognito, Alexis went to visit the barrier. This time he was alone.

The guild was not that far from the barrier nor was it that close. When it was built, it was made while maintaining a considered distance from the barrier to cope with demonic creature's attacks.

In the far, Alexis saw the weird black trees. When he felt dizzy, immediately, he turned his eyes away but the giddiness nearly caused him to topple over his horse. 

He tightened the reins and left the horse's back. At the river bank, he stood motionlessly and stared at the river. As usual, there were weird demonic creatures in the water. 

Those things we humans call some of them piranhas, some were known as blobfish and frilled sharks etc. No human could stay unmoved when they see the unsightly sight!
