Black mist suddenly came out of the blade, erasing away the blood and filth that had covered its shiny surface.

"Wow, it can even clean itself. Nice." Leon raised a thumbs up.

Lucien chuckled. "Continue hauling compliments. It likes being praised." 

Leon laughed.

"Anyway, what do you mean when you say the town has become a ghost town?" Lucien shifted the topic back. 

"We said we will investigate the town when you are trapped in the mayor's mansion, right? Thing is, after your carriages left the town, all townspeople disappeared." Jeffrey recounted the events that baffled them.

"At first we thought it was the same as the situation we encountered in Raging Mountain. The timeline will differentiate at night. But when we checked the houses, everything looked the same. We even checked the interior and the inside was kept clean and there are still traces of them doing their regular activities at night."
